Support for Multiple Studio Setups

It would be very useful if Studio One allowed me to configure and save multiple studio setups, then be able to select the studio setup I'm working in upon program startup.

I have 2 home studios and 1 remote, each configured with a different audio interface, instruments, keyboards, sound modules etc.  I have Studio One 3 installed on a single laptop which is used in all 3 studio locations.  Every time I move to a different location I have to reconfigure Studio One so that the correct audio interface is enabled, then reconnect external devices etc.

It would be very useful if Studio One allowed me to save/create a snapshot for an entire studio configuration and then be able to recall it at program startup. The studio snapshot would know which audio interface to use, which instruments, keyboards etc. should be available etc. and would recall the studio setup that is selected. This would eliminate all the warnings and reconfiguration steps at startup.

As an additional enhancement, even the VST plugins that are available in a particular studio setup could be configured. This would be useful because some plugins require an iLok device. In a particular studio I may not have the iLok (I keep mine in my main studio connected to my laptop docking station) so in my other studios it is not available.

I think this feature would be useful to those who have multiple studios. From a software dev perspective I think this would be fairly easy to implement i.e. good bang for the buck.

Thanks!

Cbroc,

What you are describing is called making a custom template. You can find the specifics on how to create and save custom templates in the Studio One Manual; found within the software under the Help Menu.
