Reset Clipped Channel Indicators When Starting Playback

I'd like the clipped peak indicators to reset as soon as playback is started. Currently, the clipped peak indicators on the meters persist, and may have been from several takes prior while I was setting up the gain or a microphone. It would make more sense if these indicators were reset immediately as soon as playback was started to let users know what's currently clipping.

Hi there,

You're probably aware of tapping the clip lights to turn them off? Just thought I'd offer up this answer in case you were't aware.

All the best!

@brentchaisson Yes, I'm aware, I just don't want them to persist at all after each time playback is initiated without having to take any extra actions.

I agree but this should be an option in the preferences.

I'd like to see Clear Clip Indicators available for assignment to a keyboard shortcut.

Should be assignable to a button / shortcut. I'm coming from reaper and use this ALL the time. Having to pick up the mouse each time I clip my input when I'm gainstaging something is almost enough to make me not consider studio one!

All the other major DAWs have this.

Both options would be amazing, especially for mixing purposes. (Automatic on playback or keyboard shortcut)

I hope more people would vote on it!

+1 for that one!

While searching for a nice instrument to add to my production, some of them with higher volume will clip.

Of course, I will adjust the volume during production, but while I´m browsing, having a hotkey to reset clip markers (instead of having to do it with the mouse) would improve the workflow a lot.

Besides, it seems to be a very obvious hotkey to add.

Hoped selecting multiple channels and then clearing one clipping indicator would clear all selected, but nope.
