Hi to all !

I just looking for a new configuration of my laptop ( yeah yeah ... everything has an end and glory to the new gear ! )

First, I was looking for a Intel I7 7700K CPU with 16GB RAM 3200MHz and I Knew about the new AMD RYZEN 7 CPU serie and just seems awesome but they don't talk very much about it with DAW utilisation, and espacially with STUDIO ONE 3 , it's all about the gaming stuffs and some tests with FL studio DAW .

Did Studio ONE 3 is a good manage with more than 4 cores ? did the achitecture works well with the new RYZEN CPU ?

In fact, Ryzen 7 1700X is the same price than an Intel I7 7700K and I would like not to make a mistake because I see this new gear as an investment for many years !

Anyone has one of it and is happy with ?

Thank you

Infos : for informations , I use Studio One DAW to mix, master analogique samples, lot's of Orchestral VSTI (Spitfire audio with KONTAKT 5), Classic plugins mixing ( WAVES, etc ... )

Hi,

There is no reason why Studio One can't handle multiprocessing on a new generation AMD processor.  Having said that, one would have a system with the processor to give any meaningful real world information about it.

Given how new that processor is you should probably search the Internet  at large to find anyone currently using it with an audio workstation to better get first hand information.
