Im about to purchase the Presonus Audiobox 44VSL

I would like to know if the unit can work / powered only by the USB cable connected to my laptop.

In other words without using the AC cord.

Im asking because I live in europe and I want to buy it in the US and the AC level isdifferent here 200 vs 120 in the US

The AudioBox 44 will require the power supply.  Its DC in.  Just get a power supply from your local Distributor.
