Firewire card should be Texas Instruments for Studiolive 16.0.2?

I have a via chip on my firewire card and disconnects randomly... any suggestions?

The VIA 1394 chips were notorious for having issues. Here is our article and link to list of compatible 1394 cards for the Classic StudioLive mixers.
