Hi, I've been away for awhile, am using Notion version 5.2.381. I imported a midi1 file, for oboes, clarinets, bassoons, horn, cymbals, timpani and strings. Having an odd thing happen, I set the oboes to Notion sounds, then set the clarinet, bassoon, and horn. When I checked to hear if the sounds were right, they all played as oboes! I set the clarinet up exactly as I did the oboe, except I chose the clarinet sound, of course. Can't figure out what's going on.

Thanks,

Mike

I love the Oboe!  Work with it!!!

LOL kidding, I had a similar casr, what I did was to look for the parameters in the plug-in.

Hope this helps. bRAD

Thanks for your reply bRAD. I also asked it on the Notion forum. I was confused by this "forum," I thought maybe the other had changed its format. anyway...I discovered that I had loaded an oboe into the Aria player in my early attempts to get sounds on Notion (I only use Notion occasionally, when I finish an orchestral piece, and I have to relearn it all over again). That is why I kept getting an oboe everywhere. BTW, I agree, I love the oboe, it is so wonderfully expressive. I have since figured out (again) how to get the Notion sounds into my scores. While Garritan is better, I have more trouble loading it. I think it all goes back to having reinstalled Windows (7) awhile back. To get the notion sounds, I finally figured out that I need to specify the correct folder, and also move my samples into that folder. Here is a link to that thread if you are interested:
