when I try to use studio one all I get is activation window and I have done that

The last version of Studio One 2 that is supported for Windows XP was version 2.0.7. You can find it in your my.presonus.com account for Studio One 2 details "previous versions".

When you enter your username and password make sure you check the box "Remember My Credentials"
