Currently Studio One only has a global undo function.
I would like to suggest a local undo function for focused events too.

Current behavior (example)

  1. Add two instrument tracks
  2. Add an event with some notes on both
  3. Open the event editor on Track 1 and make a change
  4. Open the event editor on Track 2 and make a change
  5. Open the event editor on Track 1 again and undo

Result: The last global change (on Track 2) is undone.

Requested behavior (example)

  1. Add two instrument tracks
  2. Add an event with some notes on both
  3. Open the event editor on Track 1 and make a change
  4. Open the event editor on Track 2 and make a change
  5. Open the event editor on Track 1 again and undo

Requested result: The last change for the focused event (Track 1) is undone.

Summary
When an event is not opened and focused, the undo function is global. So the last change will be undone.
When an event is opened and focused, the undo function is on event level (local). So the last change to that particular event is undone.

Case study:

An annual bump with a GIF showing the Cubase 6.5 (2012) non linear undo behavior to illustrate the power of this feature.
