Originally a question:  Not currently possible.  That would be a feature request (re-catorgorized).

Hi,

I also did a feature request for this in the past (also in the german forum) and I think others too. Unfortunately many of us use different terms for this feature, so there are more request with lower votes then one big request with all votes for it. For example, in Sonar it is called Instrument definitions, in Cubase it is called patch names.

I would really appreciate this coming into S1. In the old forum there was somebody who coded his own manager for this, but with version 3 it comes to an end. Here is the link, maybe Presonus can take a look at it. http://forumsarchive.presonus.com/posts/list/36236.page

It can't be so difficult to code this little extension into S1, based on simple textfiles, but it would help all of us using external hardware.
