Going on looks one would think that the Tube Comp in the Fat Channel XT would be modeled either after a LA-2A or a LA-3A but going on all the other emulations that I have used (can't say I have had the pleasure of working with the real things) it is based on something other. I was hoping for something just like a LA-2A but this seems to be nothing like it.
Very nice work on the 1176 though Presonus. I put it up against what many to consider the best emulation to date out there (remaining nameless) and although it sounded different I think that it held it's own. Very cool indeed! And now included for free in Studio One. Nice touch :)
