In other DAWs like Cubase or Reaper it is possible to say, for instance, that encoder 1 of a midi device always sets the volume of channel 1, encoder 2 of channel 2 and so on... in any project. In S1, however, you have to re-assign encoders in each new project which is draining some energy that could be better used for more creative tasks.
