I have the opportunity to buy a Quantum secondhand, but I must be absolutely sure it will work on my Windows 10 PC with ASUS X99-A 3.1 USB motherboard with ThunderboltEX 3. I understand I also need a StarTech adapter (and thunderbolt cable ;-) ).
Is there anyone who can confirm this will work? I do not know what "The motherboard on your PC must natively support Thunderbolt" means. Is a thunderbolt header enough for this? That is what the ThunderboltEX 3 is hooked up to.
It is secondhand and I am not able to return it if it is not working.
