Hi there,

Planning on getting a headset, but they all come with 3.5 jacks. This is a problem for me because of a lack of inputs on my PC.

Obvious solution would be to get an adapter/converter that goes 3.5 to USB. I'm wondering if this will have any adverse effects on the sound quality.

What kind of device do you have in mind? You don't go from 3.5mm (analog sound) to USB (digital sound), it goes the other way round. What you probably need is an external sound card or DAC, that you could plug through USB, convert the digital sound to analog and output it through a 3.5mm jack.
