What I have got is I am looking at buying the Dell XPS 15 that needs a minimum of 60w to charge (which my monitor can deliver) however I am concerned that under high load this won’t be enough to keep the laptop charge and it will drain the battery (see Surface Book 2 battery drainage)

I believe that the standard charge the XPS15 comes with is 120w.

I don’t really want to spend the big dollars on an expensive USB-c dock but really want to only have one cable from the laptop.

Does anyone know if there is a charger that supports one cable to the laptop and one to the monitor which allows the display to be passed through but will supply 120w power?
