I have searched the forum and cannot find an answer on this so apologies if it is a duplication.

I have a need for a digital mixer for live recording but also studio use. I need to understand whether anyone is successfully using one of the Series III / latest Presonus mixers to track with virtual instruments and getting good enough performance to track live drum pads, bass etc triggering VST instruments.

My current old USB audio interface achieves this, but I would prefer an integrated USB interface and a hands in mixer for headphone mixes etc.

The mixers do not offer such an option. You would need to use Studio One for this and send the mix to the mixer via "Tape In/Digital Return". It would also be possible to use DAW Mode to bring more audio (individual tracks) to the mixer.
