Question

I have my bass plugged into Channel 1, the iPad connected with the USB camera adapter.  I can hear the bass through my amp but no signal is getting into the iPad/Garageband.  I am trying to add a bass track to an existing mp3 file which I imported into Garageband.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  I have the Garageband track set to Channel 1, monitor on.

You have to grant permission in GarageBand preferences to use the microphone.
