I have searched through this forum, and cannot find a solution to my problem. I am not super great with audio recording yet. I have a Lenovo IdeaPad S340-15API Touch Ryzen 81QG0005US, and it has two USB ports. I have a PositiveGrid Spark amp, and the B e h r i n g e r UMC404HD. Connected to the 404, I have Mackie CR-3s which are my monitors. I use Studio One prime to record. I have the UMC and Spark drivers already set up and installed. I also have the Mackie Mix-5, which I could use.
Guitar into spark amp into the Lenovo computer through USB, then out of the computer through the other USB, into UMC, into speakers.
^ The "out of the computer through other USB" is the part that does not work.
The issue is that when I try to record my guitar through the amp, I cannot hear any playback. (This is only with the amp plugged in). Then, if I only plug in the UMC, I can hear playback but cannot record. I have been researching solutions to this problem, and I have seen audio splitters as a solution. If USB audio splitters are the solution, do you have any recommendations for any? I think that the problem is that I cannot use two soundcards at once. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thank you for reading and for your time!
