In the beginning, I thought maybe it’s the convectors (uad)
But no,
I opened a new project there is nothing no fx no nothing and still the same

For some reason my previous question got deleted?! What the hell Presonus…

So anyway, I can’t figure out how to scroll horizontally in Universal Control on the main (channels) page. I’m trying to scroll through to channel 31-32 and the digital returns channels but I can’t move from it showing channels 1 to 12

Shift + mouse scroll does nothing. I can use the mouse scroll to adjust channel volume and pan but I can’t scroll left and right. Dragging the mouse doesn’t work either.

I need to get to the digital returns channel as my 32R makes no sound through the headphone jack (either from the daw or windows media player) even though it’s the “default playback device”

Please help?

Audiobox USB headphone issue

My 1/4" headphones are only receiving audio to my left ear. The headphones work fine in my amps/synth etc. This is true for all PC audio, just in the headphone jack in the rear of the unit. Speakers transmit to stereo just fine. This didn't used to be a problem.

I installed Universal Control (Win 11 PC desktop with Cakewalk and Studio One installed together with MIDI keyboard). I then opened UC and connected io44 (headset with mic). UC recognizes io44. I then opened mixer or meter page, mixer does not register audio from io44. The LED screen on the hardware indicates the io44 is working. However, nothing registers on the meter or mixer page. I then installed UC on MacBook Pro (MacOS Catalina) and everything appears to work as it is supposed to (same io44 with headset/miic). I next installed on a Window 11 Home desktop and everything appears to work as it is supposed to. So the problem seems to reside on my first Windows 11 desktop. I supposed there could be a registry problem, but alas I am uncertain. Any ideas on how to fix my problem? Thank you.

Do not open duplicate mixdown folders after export

On Studio One 6.6.1 on Windows 11, the DAW opens a new Explorer window for the mixdown folder after a mixdown is exported. It does this regardless of whether or not it previously opened an Explorer window for the mixdown folder. This behavior results in multiple copies of Explorer for the same folder.

Please modify the behavior to check for an existing Explorer instance showing the mixdown folder and, if it already exists, don't open a new one. Instead, bring the existing one to the front.

Connecting Kork monotron Duo no signal

I have plugged a Korg monotron duo into Presonus Audio box with headphone jack from the Duo into the 1/4 inch jack input. I can hear it when I press the direct input button but there is no signal going into Studio 1. I'm definitely using the right input (R2) on the audio options on studio 1. Any idea why there's no signal? The input works fine with guitar and bass plugged into the same input

Studio One5 will not connect with my Studiolive 32sx console. It shows up in the dropdown list on the setup page, however it will not connect, suggesting I check my hardware configuration. Firmware and UC are up to date. UC sees the console just fine. Running Windows 10.

Everything was working fine until I ran a windows update, then I lost tape in from the PC. Got the tape in to work, but Studio One lost connection to the console.

Please create a Preference option to enable Automatic Save New Version to prompt the user to save off a version when opening or closing a Song if they so desire. Not just a regular save, but a saved version. Take the part about remembering to do it yourself out of the equation if folks want that. (And I really really do)

This way, you could always have a version to fall back on, even if you forget to make the version save yourself.

For some reason it is not being recognized and I am on a 11th gen intel (R) i5- 11400F @ 2.60Ghz 16.0GB 64 bit operating system Windows home 10 .

But when I get into My pro tools application I can here myself using the mic and adjusting controls but it doesn’t show up as the input I tried looking in settings and I found the error code 43 saying that “ the last usb device was unrecognizable” I have already tried deleting the usb restarting and all that as well as installing diff version of the universal control and nothing is working even the mixer screen reads No Driver-Unlinked and I am using the 6 pin FireWire to usb any insight on this ?

Grouping Audio Tracks for "Delete Time" or "Ripple" Edits (Feature Request)

I'm requesting a feature to speed up the audio editing process for audiobooks and podcasting, specifically to efficiently close gaps between dialogue across multiple tracks while keeping them synced.

Currently, I place all tracks into a single folder and use the "ripple effect" to manually delete dead space. However, this method strains my RAM, and if I miss one of the various tracks when not using the folder method, I risk desynchronizing the audio across multiple tracks.

I've tried edit lock, clicking and dragging, grouping, and "delete time," but none have resolved the issue.

Could we consider adding a feature to the DAW software that allows for more efficient gap closing without risking desynchronization?

32SX: I think it's important to be able to save User Layers in Scenes and not just Projects. I have different shows coming up and would like to have User Layers for one show (Project) with different bands faders / settings (User Layers). Really would help. It doesn't make sense for me to do User Layers under Projects for one show and have to redo the Fat channel settings for each. Thanks!

Any chance we can get a feature to add said channels count amount like we have on tracks on the edit window? Let's say I need 10 buses, 4 FX, 3 VCA, 20 Aux channels and my only option is to click one by one taking loads of time to get to where I want to be. Instead having the option to put amount on whatever is required for the session. Can you guys please help the engineers out! We do so much work on here and that would literally make Studio One even more incredible than it already is! Why does Neural DSP VST not show up in Studio One 3 Professional

Edit: I downloaded several Neural DSP versions (Archetype Nolly X, Archetype Gojira X, Archetype Cory Wong, Archetype Rabea and Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ Suite) from the offical site and installed them on the regular path, but none of them show up in Studio One 3.

I already checked everything: the chosen path for vst's in S1 (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3), reset the blacklist, allow to check for new plugins, created a new folder and added it to the path and so on... I reinstalled it but with the same resultes.

Its definately a Studio One problem. I installed Reaper and everything worked perfect, so I erased Studio One and installed it again, but still nothing. The PreSonus support answer is, that Studio One 1-3 will not longer be supportet. So if I need help, I have to update for 150 $ to Studio One 6 - thats rediculous! A **** joke!

Where are the differences between Studio One 3 and Reaper 7?

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be or how to fix it? I really need help with that.

I am on the iPad Pro, with Notion and everything is up-to-date . I know you can do this. I am writing a lead sheet and just want the cord names above the staff. For instance, Cmaj7, D-7, G7, etc. Basically just a jazz lead sheet like you would find in The Real Book. They cannot find the answer anywhere online. Is there anyone that can just tell me how to do it?

I recently updated from Studio one 4 to Studio one 6...

I'm running Backtracks through a ********* UMC1820. But when I'm trying to apply the outputs in my I/O settings it won't "stick"...

As you can see on one of the picture there comes a little * on the numbers by the outputs when I try to make them stick. But when I hit Apply it all disapears again...????

Select Articulations In Multiple Tracks At Once

Coming from Reaper w/ Reaticulate, I think it would be neat if we could select a bunch of tracks, then use the Sound Variation menu or Shortcuts to select an articulation for the selected tracks, it would make sketching entire arrangements, playing in parts and recording multis so easy.

How it would work:

- The Sound Variation slot would be selected by its numeric ID (that you can see in the S.V. menu) from the MIDI Editor menu and it would select that articulation slot in the armed/selected tracks. This would work with both tracks that share the same S.V. preset and tracks with different S.V. presets.

- Command "Apply Variation X" would work normally.

- Command "Find and Apply Variation" could work by actually searching in the tracks' S.V. presets and select articulation by name instead of numeric ID.

Changes it would require

- In order for it to work with tracks that have different S.V. presets. We'd need to able to edit the numeric ID of Articulation Slots in S.V. Presets, in order to keep S.V. presets more consistent across tracks when desired/needed.

Firmware version for legacy AudioBox-USB?

I've just bought used an old AudioBox USB interface, it's probably the oldest version made. I'm getting crackling noises with just the USB cable and headphones attached. I'm thinking maybe a firmware update could fix or reduce the problem. I saw a few posts here with screenshots of firmware in the 2.xx range with most likely the same device. Mine is on v1.10 as per UC and says it's up to date. I've tried updating on MacOS, Windows 10 and 11 but all turn out the same. Can anyone confirm that 1.10 is the latest version for this unit? If not, is it possible that since it's such a legacy unit, Presonus has completely removed the firmware from downloads and is it possible to install the update without using UC? How Can I Bring Audio Tracks Closer Together More Efficiently to Eliminate Dead Silence Spaces?

Hey all,

I was trying to see if any of you had some tips or tricks to help speed up the audio editing process for audiobooks and podcasting.

The thing I am trying to figure out is how to quickly and more efficiently close the gap between dialogue between a group of people, while still keeping the audio synced with each other and not disturbing the tracks that I'm trying to bring closer together.

As of right now, the only thing I came up with was putting all the tracks into a single folder and using the "ripple effect" to manually select the "dead space" between all the tracks and deleting it to make them closer in time. The only problem is that if I accidently select on any of the Yellow on the folder track (Yellow VOX track) it will mess up the synchronization with some audio tracks that are in the folder causing some of them to be out of time and giving it an unwanted delay effect.

I tried edit lock, clicking and dragging, and grouping, but it doesn't seem to work either.

Am I just doomed to having to be very careful to not select on the yellow boxes when deleting dead space or am I missing something crucial?

Quantum HD8 - Can we get the ability to switch speakers A and B while bypassing the mixer?

Your support told me to bypass the mixer to do this:
I route a signal from Studio One to OUT3 of the Presonus Quantum HD8 to send the signal to an external compressor the signal is output according to Studio One. You can see this on OUT3 in Studio One. However, no signal arrives at the compressor and therefore no compressed signal returns to IN3 of the Quantum HD8. With the mixer bypassed in Universal Control it works. But I also want to switch the speakers A and B. And this only works when the mixer ist not bypassed.

2D spectrum viewing and editing, just like Reaper or Audition!

I hope there will be a native short-time Fourier transform (STFT) window switch in the audio editing interface, which can view the 2D spectrum and perform simple editing, just like Audition, Reaper or iZotope RX. I believe this is not difficult, because there are similar plug-ins in Studio One, but they are not merged into the editor. Although relying on the third-party ARA plug-in can achieve similar functions, the efficiency and stability cannot be as reliable as the native function.

I hope there are the following viewing modes: you can only keep 2D instead of 3D like Spectralayers, because it doesn't make much sense. You can switch the FFT size, you can switch the scale of the frequency axis (such as logarithmic, Mel, linear, etc.). You can select an area with a brush or a selection box and attenuate or clear it, or add FX to the selection for destructive processing.

I think such a design should not be a fantasy. This is not to develop a completely new function, but to recombine some existing functions. I hope to wait for it in Studio One 7.

Undo button stopped working - bug

Using Studio One 5.5.2.86528 on Win10.

The undo button stopped working in one of my projects. Other projects work fine. It just says "Undo Edit Multiple Parameters" but it doesn't do anything when I click it. Very frustrating.

Disabling and Enabling the "Enable Undo" option under advanced settings didn't help either. This has made working on this project a major pain. Shouldn't be happening in a professional DAW. Any ideas how to fix it or export everything into a new project while keeping all inserts, settings and automations?

Improving the transient detection while using bendmarkers

Is there any plans on a much needed improvement of the transient detection while using bendmarkers? The ability to accurately creating midi triggers in Studio One is pretty much unuseable without going through and manually correcting pretty much every note after the fact. Ran some tests this weekend and compared it to Reapers builtin function "Dynamic split" and the free version of Massey DRT in Pro Tools. Pro Tools and Reaper is pretty much spot on while Studio One isn't even in the ballpark. S1 occasionally gets it right but that is like 2/10 at best.

Seeing as midi creation is pretty much a staple in alot of music production (especially rock/metal for drum reinforcement) this should really be a priority. I'm actually considering switching DAW since S1 is so bad at this.

More Flexible Console-Folder Grouping (That works with Track Presets)

I think we should be able to create, pack and reorder Buses, Instruments and VCAs within folders in the Console and Arrange Window in any way, shape and form, so these can be saved/recalled with Track Presets through a main Parent Track. Keep in mind this is coming from a VST Instrumental template standpoint.

- We would need a way to create Console folders that can contain Buses, VCAs that can also be put inside a Parent Folder. This main Parent Folder should be present both in Arrange and Console windows. So when we save that Parent Folder a Track Preset everything including Buses, VCAs, Instruments and their respective Outputs is properly recalled/stored/enabled/disabled.

This would enhance our organization options and give us the ability to create modular templates. (Reaper style)

Currently there are workarounds to create a Folder-Bus and put that in an Arrange Window folder, but it's not saved/recalled as a Track Preset. Not to mention we still cannnot create Console folders to properly separate groups of Buses, VCAs in a modular way.

Are my Eris 3.5s broken?

I have a Windows machine connected to an NI Komplete Audio 2. The NI box is connected to a set of Eris 3.5 monitors. It all worked fine for about thirty minutes playing some quiet audio, then the speakers tossed out a very loud burst of static and are no longer producing sound. The power light is on.

Audio is definitely flowing to the NI Komplete: I can connect a pair of headphones and hear sound; I can plug the outputs from the NI into different speakers and hear sound.

The monitors are definitely not producing audio: A pair of headphones plugged into the Eris headphone jack is silent. I don't think I have anything to test as an aux in, at least not laying around. Cranking the volume all the way does nothing.

I'm not sure what other troubleshooting is left. Did I get a lemon? These monitors are brand new as of yesterday.

Hello, it would be very efficient being able to switch all channels same time (by e.g. switch) either Pre or Post Mode as option (would be of use when recording into .e.g. external DAW to send the Gate/Audio/EQ/... current channel settings into DAW being recorded too as P32R is mixed. (as quick option instead of dry 1:1 signal being routet into DAW)
today it could be selected manually each channel but could be easier when 1 switch changes all pre Post...

Why is my studio one recording my click into my main out?

I have a ********* xenyx 1202sfx to record my drums to studio one and everything works except when I turn my metronome on it records my click into my drum tracks. I am using in-ear monitors coming off my audio interface and can hear everything fine so there's no way one of my mics is picking it up but my board is saying its being recorded to the board like a direct line-in.

While editing midi drums I don't want to see the key names like a keyboard. I would like to see the drum name (kick-snare-HH), not D, A, F... that isn't helpful and really slows down the flow while editing. When searching for this I only see renaming tracks and channels but I'm IN the MIDI editor using the drum view and I see keyboard key names without being able to edit the name to drum piece names.

Hi there, I'm a mastering engineer shopping around for a new DAW.

I currently use Cubase and Hofa, but I want to use one software for everything.
Studio One Project has some amazing features I've not found anywhere else but....

From my testing Project page in Studio One is missing some key things to make this go over the line.

- No full meta data for Red Book standard

- No vinyl export sides mode using alternative markers in the timeline
- No normalization to LUFS within the project (I don't mean export)

- No way to copy paste and export large amounts of Metadata - Hofa does this way better than anyone with CSV support and copy to clipboard

- No way to turn off the production masters folder exporting a long wav of the entire album

- No way to customize the PQ sheet with "mastered by" or branding, this is also very good in Hofa.

If the devs would be keen I'd be happy to chat/beta test etc to see if it can happen! Cheers,

Studiolive 24r Main Output "noisy" - high level of white noise when plugged into Powered Speakers

Studiolive 24r has a high level of white noise when connected to ANY external source via the main output. Have tried several speakers and balanced lead combinations, all with the same result. The output itself is very "hot" and I am using the DCA method (mentioned elsewhere on internet) to reduce the main output by about -50db to bring levels down to a managable level for the main.

USB audio sources from Ableton so dont think its an analogue issue. Have also tried without PC connected with mixer as standalone and the backgound noise persists.

All AUX/MIX outputs are fine, no issues with levels etc.

Would welcome any advice.

My Mac and Universal Control suddenly stopped recognizing my ioStation 24c

Hello everyone, I was using my ioStation 24c for mixing in Logic Pro X and it suddenly stopped working and started cracking. From there I entered Universal Control and my interface, my Mac OS Will we have to go back to USB 3.0?

The steps I have already followed are the following:
1. Reinstall Universal Control on Mac OS X Ventura.
2. I connected my ioStation 24c to an old Windows computer to update the firmware and the cable works. I was able to update but my Macbook Pro still does not recognize it.
2. Change the USB-C cable to another one and it didn't work on Mac.
3. I upgraded to Mac OS X Sonoma 14.6 but still nothing. Sometimes TIDAL also does not recognize the interface and I cannot listen to music from the interface.

Neither option has worked. Any solution? It is not firmware and it is not cable. It doesn't seem like Universal Control is outdated either.
