Connecting Kork monotron Duo no signal

I have plugged a Korg monotron duo into Presonus Audio box with headphone jack from the Duo into the 1/4 inch jack input. I can hear it when I press the direct input button but there is no signal going into Studio 1. I'm definitely using the right input (R2) on the audio options on studio 1. Any idea why there's no signal? The input works fine with guitar and bass plugged into the same input

Studio One 5 Studiolive III connection issue

Studio One5 will not connect with my Studiolive 32sx console. It shows up in the dropdown list on the setup page, however it will not connect, suggesting I check my hardware configuration. Firmware and UC are up to date. UC sees the console just fine. Running Windows 10.

Everything was working fine until I ran a windows update, then I lost tape in from the PC. Got the tape in to work, but Studio One lost connection to the console.

I have created VST locations under VST Location in Studio One and it is either not scanning them or is ignoring the VST in those locations.

I'm working with Studio One Artist along with Studio 24c. I used to be able to easily convert files to MP3 because there was an option to do so under FILE----) CONVERT TO------) and MP3 was an option. Now, under "convert to" the choices are:

Capture sessions

MIDI File

Open TL

ZIP File

Why does Neural DSP VST not show up in Studio One 3 Professional

Edit: I downloaded several Neural DSP versions (Archetype Nolly X, Archetype Gojira X, Archetype Cory Wong, Archetype Rabea and Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ Suite) from the offical site and installed them on the regular path, but none of them show up in Studio One 3.

I already checked everything: the chosen path for vst's in S1 (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3), reset the blacklist, allow to check for new plugins, created a new folder and added it to the path and so on... I reinstalled it but with the same resultes.

Its definately a Studio One problem. I installed Reaper and everything worked perfect, so I erased Studio One and installed it again, but still nothing. The PreSonus support answer is, that Studio One 1-3 will not longer be supportet. So if I need help, I have to update for 150 $ to Studio One 6 - thats rediculous! A **** joke!

Where are the differences between Studio One 3 and Reaper 7?

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be or how to fix it? I really need help with that.

I recently updated from Studio one 4 to Studio one 6...

I'm running Backtracks through a ********* UMC1820. But when I'm trying to apply the outputs in my I/O settings it won't "stick"...

As you can see on one of the picture there comes a little * on the numbers by the outputs when I try to make them stick. But when I hit Apply it all disapears again...????

I hope there will be a native short-time Fourier transform (STFT) window switch in the audio editing interface, which can view the 2D spectrum and perform simple editing, just like Audition, Reaper or iZotope RX. I believe this is not difficult, because there are similar plug-ins in Studio One, but they are not merged into the editor. Although relying on the third-party ARA plug-in can achieve similar functions, the efficiency and stability cannot be as reliable as the native function.

I hope there are the following viewing modes: you can only keep 2D instead of 3D like Spectralayers, because it doesn't make much sense. You can switch the FFT size, you can switch the scale of the frequency axis (such as logarithmic, Mel, linear, etc.). You can select an area with a brush or a selection box and attenuate or clear it, or add FX to the selection for destructive processing.

I think such a design should not be a fantasy. This is not to develop a completely new function, but to recombine some existing functions. I hope to wait for it in Studio One 7.

Undo button stopped working - bug

Using Studio One 5.5.2.86528 on Win10.

The undo button stopped working in one of my projects. Other projects work fine. It just says "Undo Edit Multiple Parameters" but it doesn't do anything when I click it. Very frustrating.

Disabling and Enabling the "Enable Undo" option under advanced settings didn't help either. This has made working on this project a major pain. Shouldn't be happening in a professional DAW. Any ideas how to fix it or export everything into a new project while keeping all inserts, settings and automations?

I have a ********* xenyx 1202sfx to record my drums to studio one and everything works except when I turn my metronome on it records my click into my drum tracks. I am using in-ear monitors coming off my audio interface and can hear everything fine so there's no way one of my mics is picking it up but my board is saying its being recorded to the board like a direct line-in.

While editing midi drums I don't want to see the key names like a keyboard. I would like to see the drum name (kick-snare-HH), not D, A, F... that isn't helpful and really slows down the flow while editing. When searching for this I only see renaming tracks and channels but I'm IN the MIDI editor using the drum view and I see keyboard key names without being able to edit the name to drum piece names.

Longer track shortened somehow to match shorter track

Hi - we have a drum track that is ~120 sec long (2-3 sec dead air at end). The music is ~117 sec long. Somehow it seems the drum track is getting compressed uniformly to be ~117 sec to match the music. The drums are then driven off the music pretty badly by the end of the song. Not sure what is happening? First time this has occurred.

Why when I turn on the monitor button I cannot hear the audio track on the same track until I deactivate it and the sound returns to work. I figured out how to make pro eq3 a tilt eq using "macro controls" tab within pro eq3. I saved the preset and the project so I can always have it and to share it on exchange. I opened a new project to test this out and none of the macros I put in pro eq3 saved. I downloaded my "tilt" eq file from exchange and the macros didn't save there either. How can I save the macros within a plugin and make it a preset so I don't have to go through setting up the control and adjust the targets when I'm in different projects and to upload it to exchange?

Black Screen Third Party Plugins

When I load up third part plugins, I am met with a black screen (Specifically god particle and acustica plugins). Other posts say the best way to fix this is to disable hardware acceleration in studio one settings. This option is unavailable for me. Instead, I am met with high dpi mode in it's place, which I've tried turning off. I am not sure what to do!

Track presets feature request

When I save a track preset that contains Buses and Fx, I cannot add Buses in the original order every time I load it, nor can I make Buses and Fx appear in Track (I can only see Channels in the console but no Tracks are added). This should not be a hassle for developers, but it is indeed imperfect for users.
Imagine that I have configured a preset for drum mix, and I have created Buses for Kick, Snare, Tom, and Overhead, and I have also sent some Fx to them. I hope that every time I open this track preset, I can arrange the tracks in the original order, for example, I will see Kickin, Kickout, KickSub, KickBus, then Snare top, Snare bottom, Snare Bus, then Hihat...
But now, after I save the track preset in the original order, I open it and it is Kick in, Kick out, Kick sub, then Snare..., and finally all Buses and Fx, and these Buses and Fx cannot be seen in Track. I need to create automation for their faders to see them in track. This is cumbersome.

Alternatively, you could add more commands to the macro, such as "add automation track for channel volume".

Is it by design that melodyne items are not affected by cross fades?

I chopped a vocal track and edited parts in melodyne. I don't like to bounce it and prefer keep the options open so I have many melodyne ara clips one after another on the track. I sometimes want to crop the item to start or finish precisely in a place that I need it to. On a bounced audio I would do it with a few ms fade in or fadeout. But crossfades seem not affect the items that are still marked with melodyne. It feels unnatural to have to enter melodyne and do fades within it. I would instinctively expect crossfades to work on top of whatever melodyne is doing.

Please tell me it's just a matter of settings?

I am using a Steinberg UR22 interface and wonder if it's my interface that's the problem (do I need to purchase a PreSonus interface?) or if my audio setup is incorrect. I've tried a number of suggestions such as changing the I/O settings on the existing tracks as well as the new audio track, I've deleted and reinstalled S1, rebooted my computer, check for updates to S1 (I'm running the latest update for S1 Four), etc. I cannot figure out why I have thus far only been able to use S1 for mixing and MIDI recording. Audio recording seems to be elusive and only works essentially as a mixdown of the other tracks.

Hi. I'm using the metronome and I can get a pretty interesting click track tweaking Accent, Beat and Offbeat with different sounds. But if I want something more actually drum-like, what's the simplest way to do it? Put together a beats track separately and import it into Studio One? Or is it possible to record using a third-party plugin that does what StOne metronome does, but with more drum sounds and bells and whistles? I want to know what's possible in Studio One - I haven't done this before in this or any software. Thanks.

i have just upgraded to studio one 6.5, from 5.5.

I have reinstalled all my VSTs but Kontakt 5 does not load, and does not appear in my instrument list. It shows that it is loading it on startup, and the .dll is in the right location, but it doesnt appear in my instrument list once S1 loaded.

Does Kontakt 5 still work with S1 v6.5 ???

This is really frustrating, ive tried everything i can think of, uninstalling/installing multiple times and still not working.

When syncing two PCs using MIDI Time Code and MIDI Clock and MMC as applicable, it has been fairly an accepted practice for long, to send MIDI from a master PC to a second machine, hosting, say, virtual synths inside a host like a DAW or similar, and in turn return audio from the second machine to record on the master PC, obviously using transport control.

I wrongly assumed that this is so with all sequencers / DAWs including Studio One.

I had sent a query to Presonus enquiring about this feature, since I am able to load and with two instances of Studio One on two separate computers. Here is a transcript, and their somewhat confusing reply.

It is possible that either Studio One has a limitation, or may be I have not asked the right question.

My query to Presonus Tech Support:

I have two instances of Studio One Plus loaded in 2 separate machines PC1 and PC2, with PC2 running soft synths. How do I record into the PC1 DAW, from the soft synths running on PC2, in sync and in real time? Both computers have their separate USB audio interfaces and separate MIDI Interfaces as well.

Thanks for contacting PreSonus Support.

The functionality is not possible in Studio One. When you record into PC2, the data is recorded to that computer. It is not possible to send it in real-time to another computer. You will need to record into PC2 and then, you can use the Workspaces feature to create a workspace and sync the song and then you should be able to have the song open on both PCs and then you can send and receive files between the two computers.

It is considerably complicated to try this method, and it may well work for you. So, give it a try. But, currently, there is no support for real-time recording between two computers.

If you would like to make a feature request for Studio One to be added in a future release, we have a forum section specifically for Feature Requests.

Notwithstanding, perhaps someone who does have experience in this matter may be able to help see a clear path. Problem is, I am stuck with Presonus hardware and software so not much of an escape here. Only thing is I need to figure out a way to achieve what I want to achieve.

analog audio doesn't reach StudioOne

It's been a month with no answer, so I'll try again.

I've got a Macbook Pro running Sonoma.

My analog audio has suddenly stopped reaching Studio One from my USB96.

I'm testing using an analog output from a MIDI keyboard and a microphone. I am able to record both inputs using GarageBand, QuickTime, and Mac Voice Memos. Also, the input level for the Mac System Sound responds to both the mic and analog keyboard inputs.

But Studio One doesn't get either channel of analog input. It does see the MIDI input from my keyboard (I can record into an instrument track), and I can hear both analog and instrument channels on song playback through headphones plugged into the USB96.

This worked until about a month ago.

I've unplugged/replugged every connector and restarted my laptop -- nothing helps.

I recently switched from using studio one 5 on a Windows computer to using a MacBook Pro Sonoma. At first everything was working fine, sound would come out of both sides of whatever device I had connected (air pods, Mac speakers, dual speakers...). One time I connected my AirPods through the audio setup window as usual and I selected the air pods as the playback device, however once connected sound would only come out of the left AirPod. This has now become an issue with not just my air pods but also my Mac speakers and any dual speakers I connect to.

It is interesting because when I look at the output channels (left and right) they both show that they are being used. On top of this, while I have the device connected and I close out of or leave studio one and play audio from another app it comes out of both ears as normal. I have even tried playing music in another app at the same time as playing my studio one session and the music from the other app comes out of both ears and studio one only comes out of one at the same time. Along with this I have tried connecting a friends AirPods to see if this issue would occur if a new device had been connected and the issue persisted.

I have tried to fix this problem by disconnecting and factory reseting the devices, deleting and redownloading studio one, and restarting my laptop.

I have also tried contacting the PreSonus technical support line but left on hold.

If you know any way to fix this or have encountered a similar problem please let me know. Thanks.

My keyboard is holding certain midi notes when recording

Hey I just got a Roland Juno DS,

What I’m trying to do:

Record midi then quantize the midi and record the sounds from the Juno ds on an audio track.

I have it working it’s just that certain notes seem to stick where the note holds or sustains.

and No I don’t have a sustain pedal

It only does this when recording the sound from the Juno ds after recording the midi.

I’m using it thru midi and audio Not USB.

I had the same problem with my Roland e09 I just don’t remember how I fixed it before.

Anyone know the answer?

Expand Folder Issued Weird Behavious or just my bad?

Hi, I have an issue with the expanding and closing folder track in Studio One Professional 6
When I expand the folder track with my mouse everything is fine. Still, sometimes when I use short-cut or when I'm assigned short-cut with something else such as my macro mouse or even fader port 8 it looks like the Folder is not actually expanded and it's overwhelming and time-consuming for me

pipeline xt is causing issues in the project page

when I tried to use pipeline xt today, at first, the signal was garbled and distorted like a bad clocking error and now it is completely silent on the return side. the hardware insert works on about 4 other DAWs tested and the I/o works fine in studio one when recording.

Hello, I'm very not technical so please bare with me. I have a Macbook Air, Monterey 12.7, Studio One 6.6 and an Audiobox iTwo. I tried opening a project in studio one when the playback stopped after a few seconds. It's the same with every project, i open it and it plays for a few seconds then it's muted. I feel like I have checked everything, tried to change the block size, downloaded universal control and updated my audiobox through universal control. Changing my sample rate just gives me back sound for a few seconds then it's gone again. There is input signal in studio one but i hear nothing in my headphones. There looks to be some kind of signal from my mic but it doesn't record anything.

I notice a SHOW ALL TRACKS is available. Sometimes hiding all tracks so the user can ONLY show what they want to be visible improves work flow. It is one selection vs. three button presses. JUST DO IT!

How can I play an S1 Atmos project live on Sonos Arc system?

Hi! Recently switched to Studio One for working in Atmos - love it! Also recently bought a Sonos system: Arc soundbar, 2 Era 300s for surround (rear), and will be adding a sub later this month.

Have been rendering ADM-BW files and using Dolby Renderer to export to MP4s; plays fine in the Sonos app; but would really be great if I could run S1 live to my Sonos systems to listen, mix, tweak...

Have tried airplay (have a 4k Apple TV), but the S1 output prefs say airplay only does 41.1k and atmos needs 48k. Tried streaming via airfoil app and connecting my macbook pro M1 to my TV (has eArc going to the Sonos Arc), but only get stereo playback there.

Considering getting a NVIDA Shield Pro to stream from S1 live - would that work?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

How do I select all events to the end of the track without selecting events before the cursor?

I'm trying to use Studio One for podcast editing, and on occasion I need to make cuts. When I make those cuts, I need to grab each of the events in each of the tracks and close the space I cut out.

I use the "Strip Silence" tool to cut out most of the extra microphone noise before I start editing, because I need to listen to make sure it didn't cut someone off too early or too late (it's never perfect). The result is several very small events that I have to select whenever I'm listening along and find spots I need to edit out (like long gaps of silence or interruptions in the show).

The problem with all of these small events is that it's time consuming to drag the cursor across every track all the way to the end to highlight all the unedited parts and scooch them left to fill the gap I've created. This would be fine if it were only a few minutes worth of audio, but we're talking at least an hour of audio to select over and over again. I would use Time Zoom to more easily select everything, but by the time it's zoomed out enough to grab everything easily, it's also too small to grab just the specific events I want to grab; I end up grabbing the events before the cursor, events that I don't want to move.

Ideally, I need a way to select all events on all tracks from wherever the cursor is to the end of the song. Does anybody have an idea how to do this/achieve something similar? Any tips on improving my workflow is also appreciated.

I stepped away from my computer to print a song, and now the software is not playing my vocals, only the crackling and static that some with recording them, and every previously recorded song is only the crackling and glitching from recording them, and the instrumentals are quieter. What do I do?

I should also mention that my song plays just fine when the Audiobox is not connected to my laptop.

Drawing or selecting a note sets the new note length.

This is my first time ever recording so I don’t know what I’m doing. I have Studio One 6, Maschine MK3, and a Komplete Control A61 midi keyboard. I’m able to record the midi keyboard just fine in Studio One. But Maschine MK3 doesn’t send any midi information while recording and I don’t know why. No sound gets recorded at all.

It’s very frustrating. I’m not making any hip-hop or loop-based music. I’m making Metal music and want to use the drum pads on Maschine mk3 while recording in Studio One.

pleas keep in mind I’ve never recorded before, so please explain it to me like a 10 year old: how do I setup and connect Maschine mk3 to use in such a manner in Studio One that it receives the midi information while recording?

Auto Save not working at designated interval

Hi! My Auto Save does not work as expected. I have it set to 1 minute. Looking at my "History" folder I have autosaves all over the place ranging from 1min to 7min intervals. I realize it may not work while recording but we really should be able to have autosave work a bit more reliably. I have lost progress on sessions due to crashes and the autosave is over 7 mins ago. And I wasn't even recording audio at the time. Does anyone else have this problem?
