Can 16:4:2 be used fro 5.1 outputs with LogicX DAW?

4 SUB outputs for L & R front and rear, main outputs for sub and center!

It should work, yes. Keep in mind that the 1642 does not have a surround panner on the console, this would need to be done entirely in your software and using the 1642 as a multi-audio output device.
