Thinking of retiring my old, reliable Firebox and getting an AR Mixer. My Firebox handles all the default sound output for my Mac without me doing anything but launching iTunes and turning up the Main Level knob. Is there a specific input and output combo on the AR that does this or some sort of default? I'm looking at the mixer because I need more inputs since I'm doing podcasts with up to 4 people at a time, so I need more inputs and versatility (I like AR's built-in recording feature as well). This question about how the AR handles being the default audio output will affect whether I choose an AR mixer or Studio 68 (or similar interface). Thanks!

Yes, just like ANY Core Audio compliant Audio Device, it can be set as your Default OSX output.
