Sorry if stupid question....

I want to connect a digital source to the RML16AI mixer - specifically, a CD player that has a single digital out RCA (coaxial) for the stereo signal (pretty standard in high end CD players for users that want to use external DACs).  Are the line inputs on the RML16AI able to accept a digital signal (and that way, skipping the A-to-D step of the A-to-D and D-to-A process)??

Thank you.

The RML16Ai does not have a Digital Input. It will not work the way you are asking.

It does however have a Tape Input which will connect to your CD Player. Connect a pair of RCA Outputs from the output of your CD Player to the Tape Inputs on your RML16Ai on the front panel.

As an alternative you can purchase a direct box with RCA Inputs (aftermarket) that will then feed the XLR or 1/4" TRS Inputs.

The specs on the RML16Ai are quite extensive, plugging into the RCA Jacks should be sufficient provided you're using quality RCA Output cables from your CD Player.
