How do I "connect" my Lexicon MX200 effects processor in Studio One?

I am running MacOSX High Sierra on my MacBook Pro. I have my Focusrite 6i6 2nd Gen. Interface connected via the S/PDIF ports to my Lexicon MX200 hardware effects processor. Although the digital in light on the lexicon unit lights up and I have set the "Clock" on Focusrite Control software to S/PDIF (rather than internal), I am having difficulty in getting S1 v. 3.5.2 to "bring in" the signal to the DAW. I have tried using the Presonus Pipeline Mono as an effect. I believe that I must be making a mistake regarding the "routing" on studio one (I have the S/PDIF ports 1 and 2 set to mono on the Song Setup dialog box). What am I doing wrong? How should the settings in Pipeline be set up for send and return? If you feel that a phone call would help, I would be happy to send my cell phone number to you so we can schedule a time to walk through my process.

Hi,

We would think that if you wanted to use S\PDIF to connect to your Lexicon hardware reverb that the I/O  setup should be stereo, not mono.  If you have S/PDIF I/O on the Focusrite and you want to dedicate it that, create a stereo out and assign it and also create a stereo in and assign it, in the Audio I/O tabs.

We'd also assume that if the Lexicon needs to clock it would take it's clock from the S/PDIF input, if there are internal settings on it to determine where it gets it's clock.

Also, if it has Midi In you also may want to look over it's Midi Implementation in the manual as you may be able to create an external device for it to control it's settings without manually operating it, to load a song that uses it and have the settings come back from automation maybe.
