OK, so I am posting this as an answer to my own question because I don't know how to add a comment to my question. I am not sure if this is a coincidence or not. It would seem that there was an update last night (when I was having the problem) to the universal control app on my pc. Just by chance I got an email from presonus about the new version of the app later on in the day. Seemed to pertain to my problem, so I downloaded the updated version. This seemed to fix my issue. The console seems to be functioning properly now. I guess it was just a matter of bad timing on my part when I was trying to use the mixer that particular night. Sorry about the confusion.
