Hi,

Trying to pick your brain here for my coming project ..
I will be doing a few shows in Cuba including FOH, Monitor and multitrack recording, local provides me speakers and stuffs, i'm plannign to bring my own mixer and a few mics.

Would loved to bring a SL 16 but it's probably hard to hand-carry it with me(any recommand bag or case??) ...   and I don't trust putting it as my checked luggage.    I might need to go with the 24r or 32r rack mixer instead ..

Challenge is, I'm not allowed to bring a wireless router due to the law ..       I can however bring a long cat5 cable and mix on my laptop with universal control, and have a 2nd laptop connected via usb for recording ...     I've quickly tried to create a wireless work on my 2012 mbp , but somehow my tablet just doesn't want to connect to it ...   maybe i'll have to dig in further on this part so at least I can mix on a tablet .    Or am I able to control UC with a midi controller(mackie control) at least that gives me fader access ?

Let me know if you can think of any smarter way for doing this.

Thanks!
Jackie

You need to use a wireless router for wireless control. Ad-Hoc networking via an Apple Mac is no longer support by Apple and will not work.

The Series III does not support any hardware surfaces for control over MIDI etc either.
