How does "Save new version" work in Studio One 4 related to names and song/project relationship?

New way Studio One 4 saves new version songs has an incremental option (set or not). This adds a legend to the .SONG filename. If a Project had been setup, and version changes, Project becomes old. It's somewhat weird didn't happen in SO3.

Any explanation? Thanks a lot.
