I am trying to use an outboard guitar switching unit specifically an ES-8 from Boss. Having now got twin 2.5yr olds and a new one on the way I’m having to relegate my amp to the closet. I don’t however want to lose using my outboard gear to play along to backing tracks.
My signal chain planned path is as follows -
Guitar - Input 1 Safire pro 14.
Output 3 - input boss es-8.
Input 3 - Es 8 vol out
Output 4 - Es 8 vol in
Input 4 - loop out ES-8
Outputs 1&2 are for studio monitors.
The plan is to have an instance of Bias amp with the cab after input 3 to capture any front end pedals ie distortion, time based effects pedals will be in the ES-8 loop. Post input 4 I want to put a cabinet IR prior to sending to the main out.
Can anyone help direct me how best to do this?
