Question

I don't know how it works for windows, so I am writing this based on my experience with mac.

When I have a song open and saved and hit cmd+w, I can close the song's own window and get back to the main page.

However, when I have a song open and saved and click the red button in the upper left of the window, the whole app gets closed.

Can we prevent this from happening? I'd just expect to see the main page just like when I hit cmd+w, but I don't expect the whole app to close. Can this be fixed?

You answered your own question.   Use CMD W

CMD S    CMD W its boom done.  
i feel this is way its supposed to be. If im Xing out of a program Im leaving it entirely.
Closing a project is pretty good as it is.
