The level meters and 48v, mute, Line and A/B buttons on my Studio 18|10 stopped functioning. What do I do?

Computer: Lenovo E570, Intel Core i5 7200U @ 2.50 Ghz

OS: Windows 10 Pro 10.0.17134

Application: Ableton Live Suite 8 (+Universal Control)

Interface: PreSonus Studio 18|10

Firmware: v2.51

Situation:

The input/output meters and four push buttons on the front of my new PreSonus 18|10 stopped functioning properly after about an hour of use. This is the very first time I'm using this interface after unboxing and registering the product. The meters do briefly 'light up' upon switching the interface on, but immediately stop functioning after that. Furthermore, the four push buttons (48v, Mute, Line and A/B) do not respond in any way. The Sync light is not lighting up at all. The four inputs on the front as well as the headphone outs on the back do seem to function totally fine in Universal Control as well as Ableton. The interface simply does not respond when pushing the front buttons. I was using only one input (input 1) with a Casio keyboard and line-level switched on. I believe the meters did function like they should during the first +/- hour of using the interface. What could be done to solve this issue? Thank you in advance for your support.
