Capture on iPad only recording voice (channel 1), not instrument (channel 7) via USB and StudioLive AR22

New to recording here.

Hooked up iPad to AR22 mixer via USB.  Have a camera adapter to connect iPad.  When I record microphone and guitar, only the microphone registers.  I have the input set to AR22 USB.  Any thoughts?  Thanks very much.
