Questions about mixing with reference track

Hey guys, I have a couple of questions about mixing with reference tracks, because I feel I do not know how properly use them. I do not have professional studio monitors, I just have my Audiotechnika ATH-M50X headphones and Sonaworks headphone callibration for flattening this headphones and I produce EDM...I want start using reference tracks because now my mixes sounds not good (in my headphones sounds good but in car sounds really bass heavy, every time kick hits it sounds really distorted for example).  So I think that this is the right time for using reference track. But how properly use them? I know that first I should lower reference track to match the volume of my mix, to make more accurate mixing decisions..And what I should make next? For example, this the main problems with my every mixdown/track I make:
