Gear:

DAW: Studio One 4.0.0.47704 macOS x64

Interface: Focusrite saffire PRO40

SaffireMixcontrol 3.7

MacOS Sierra 10.12.6

Problem:

When I select the saffire in the configure audio device tab. The play button doesn't work. When I turn back to Built-in Output and Built-in Microphone by playback and recording device. The play button works. 

What have I done:

- reinstall mix control 3.7

- reinstall previously mix control 3.4

I managed to get mine working (for a couple of months) simply by mucking around with the firewire driver latency settings in mixcontrol. However, I have a saffire pro40 and the problem has occured again (for no reason... no settings were changed) and cannot get it to work this time. Mixcontrol is such a headache!!!
