Hello All,

I am just starting out trying to record music. However I am broke. Thus, all my equipment is a result of Christmas and birthday gifts. Anyways, my only mic is this USB Fifine K669. Every time I attempt to use it I get this dreaded notification.

I have tried literally every fix I can find and think of. Does anyone have a way to fix this? I can't afford anything else so this is my last hope.

Does your microphone manufacturer supply an ASIO driver?  If it does, I would first disable all other non-ASIO drivers using Windows device manager and only use the ASIO driver (don’t use the Windows pnp driver).  You’ll need to look up how to do that In Windows if you don’t know how.  Second, in Studio One select the ASIO driver for the mic.  Third, use the ASIO driver control panel for the mic to set the sampling rate for your microphone.

Finally, if your mic manufacturer doesn’t provide an ASIO driver, you can try the ASIO4ALL universal driver, but you’ll also have to look that up because I have not used it personally.

I have the same problem, though I am using free version StudioOne. I just want to record simple vocal guitar demos anyway. I will look for other software.
