Feature Request: Option for MIDI Editor to only show the playable notes of your chosen instrument in the piano roll

Feature Request: A useful addition would be to be able to tell the midi editor the instrument its playing, and then for the piano roll to only show the notes within the playable range of that instrument. This means you wouldn't be able to write notes that are outside the range of the specified instrument.

Example: You're writing a score over a string quartet, with bass, cello, viola and violins all on their own tracks. You tell each track which instrument is allocated (maybe by a drop down of presets) and then it could grey out the non playable range, or colour code the playable range, or something on the same principle. Showing the playable range would also prevent you writing notes that are at the extremes of the instrument, something a composer would commonly avoid, effectively alerting you to move a low violin note to a mid range viola note etc.

A useful extra feature would be if the piano roll would somehow denote the open strings of the chose instrument, so you can chose appropriate articulations for that open stringed note

Even more useful would be an option to change the default playable range to allow for alternate tunings of the said instrument (e.g drop D on a guitar, a 5 string bass etc).
