Faderport follows DAW instead of other way around

Newbie so be gentle. Just connected my (new) faderport 8 to Reaper. But instead of triggering actions in Reaper Reaper triggers faders and buttons on my Faderport. What am I doing wrong? Using MCU Logic as mode.

You're not doing anything wrong, that's bi-directional communication between the DAW and the control surface.
