The handling of USB devices inside a session seems extremely clunky and has always crashed Studio One (v3, 4 and 5).
Please make this more friendly by pausing all processes if a USB audio device is not detected and pop-up a dialogue box that asked if you wished to reconnect said device or add another. At the very least give an emergency option to save the current song you are working on!
