Question

Am trying studio one DEMO v2.6.5.30360, on a Lenovo laptop, just using my windows drivers as output.  (sound works fine).  i add VST instruments, EZ drummer being my focus  (I tried some that come with Studio one...same results), and channels show up in the console fine.  The sound bars show they have sound coming through them.  Works fine single or multi-channel.  When i add an instrument track to record on, no sound comes through it.

Track settings:   OUT = Instrument (like ezdrummer....have tried others), IN = all input, Audio = channel (like EZ1, EZ2) Output = main.  What am i doing wrong?  I will be buying the professional version, artist on order, but not if I can't get VST instruments to work.  So any help is really appreciated.

You will want to make sure that you have set the output channel for the instrument track that you have added if you are working with a multi-channel VSTi.  In the VSTi, you will want to make sure that you have loaded your patches on that corresponding channel.  Finally, in the console, you will want to make sure that you have the instrument track routed out to the "Main."
