The StudioLive Series III mixers can work in normal mix bus mode, or they can be switched to Interface mode.
I would like the ability to put only some Mixes into Interface Mode and leave the rest as normal busses.
In the studio this would be incredibly handy. My specific example would be to use Mix 1/2 as Phones 1 and Mix 3/4 as Phones 2 for tracking. Then I would put the remaining busses into Interface mode so I could process tracks from Studio One through external effects.
Since the software already supports either mode globally, it seems like it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to a a "per channel" option to turn on Interface mode.
What do you think? Doable? Useful?
