Respectable engineers,

my workflow includes a lot of A-B section listenings: firstly I would hit space on the keyboard to let the audio play from the beginning, when I get interested in some certain parts during the playback, then I would pause the playback and select this interesting section, then play this section in loop mode for several times until everythig becomes clear, then I would deactivate the loop mode and let the audio go ahead.

When dealing with a long audio file, and at the same time when there exist lots of interesting or difficult A-B sections that I want to repeatedly listened to, then it easily becomes very tedious to always have to keep pressing the shift key on the keyboard and scrolling the mouse wheel to proceed to the following parts of this long audio track. If a new feature as described in the title could be added to the future version, I would be very much appreciated.

Frankly speaking, I am a Studio One fan as well as a language learner, I have three important inspiring tutors online to help me understand the inner logic and beauty of Studio One, they are Gregor Beyerle, Joe Gilder and Mike Enjo. Actually speaking, I have used Studio One as my important tool to learn german language for more than a half year, and my feature request in this thread is exactly aiming to ease the pain while listening to the long german speaking audio files, for example the news from Tagesschau or audible books. If the playhead could be fixed in the center of the view, my efficiency for practicing and training listening skills should be significantly improved.

Thanks for your time and your great efforts to make things clear and easy.

Wish you have a nice day.
