Please add surround support to the WDM drivers. Now that Atmos is supported in the DAW, it would be nice to listen to the final mix in an external player. Also, people use audio interfaces in gaming setups, and positional audio is very important in video games. It would be great to be able to put away my home theater system and use the same setup for monitoring in my DAW as I use while gaming or listening to music. I'd be able to invest into one set of speakers instead of having to spread my budget out.
You don't have to decode any codecs, just allows Windows to recognize the device as a multi-channel output instead of stereo pairs. Dolby Access and similar programs can handle the rest. This is a simple feature that your competitor Focusrite has had for a while now.
