Question

I imagine you could create many templates for common setups for live and studio use. This is something I find distracting in ProTools.  The keys are to be able to easily map inputs to available template channels and have the channel templates include your default patches and easily map outputs to stage busses, studio busses, FXs and monitors.  That's asking a lot, but what a time saver it would can be. Documenting I/O then becomes extremely important for the templates so configs can be pre-checked and tested. Nesting that documentation into the templates might be helpful.
