Question

My laptop doesn't have any USB-C ports, but I want to get a USB-C interface such as Studio 26c to be upward compatible with my future laptop upgrade.  In the meantime, will the 26c work with a USB-C to USB 3.0 cable such as this? https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01A6F3WHG/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A294P4X9EWVXLJ&psc=1&th=1

The PreSonus Studio 26c (and all the USB-C series interfaces) come with 2 cables:

• USB-C to USB-C
• USB-A to USB-C

So your'e covered. 

If you want to get a different cable, we have found that most USB-C cables are only sync cable and are not properly shielded which will result in drop outs in the audio. Make sure the cable you're buying can be used for computer transfers and not just sync'ing your phone like all the ones seen at every gas station. 

As for the cable you're asking about we have not tested that cable per se as there are too many variants of that style cable on the market.
