Question

My laptop is running slow with studio one because it has a basic processor and small ram. I'm thinking of getting a second hand apple macbook a1342 because it has a higher processor speed and ram, and have been told apple's are better for music production. I'm just wondering if the A1342 will be ok, processor speed 2.6ghz and RAM 8gb. The only issue I can see is that according to presonus sys requirements it states I need resolution of 1366 x 768, the mac apparently only has 1300 x 800

Why not look at using a desktop PC instead of a laptop? I bought a custom built Lenovo a couple of years ago and used that for awhile, but a desktop PC would run so much better and you'll also get the benefits of a better processor and faster RAM.
