I come from logic pro x and i cant figure out why i must select a track length when i'm creating a song. I'm creating so i have no idea how long what i am doing is going to be in the end. Logic doesn't require a pre determined track length be selected. It seems silly to me. Am i missing something? It makes me feel like i'm forced to choose something i don't know the answer too when i want to open the program and mess around creating.

Hi.  The song length you select on the song launch is just so the program knows where to place the Start and End markers.  You can easily work past the "end marker", move the End marker to the end of your tracks, export less than. It's more "I potentially need this much space" than "this is specifically how long my song will be".
