This forum has to be the poorest DAW forum in existence - however good Studio One is (and it is very good) it doesn't seem to have fostered a community of problem solvers and users with ideas/suggestions.

I have a studio so I use all the DAWs any some point for clients - Pro Tools, Logic X, Harrison Mixbus 7 (the very BEST mixing DAW bar none), Cubase, all of them have far more active & helpful forums than Studio One.

Why is that? And why do tech support not inhabit this forum, as they do for example for Harrison Mixbus, or Steinberg Dorico ? I get fantastic input, support, collaboration from all other DAW forums, but here? Zilch! Nada, ****** all!

Hi there.  Something to appreciate about the community is, there are two ways to interact.  One is the mobile app, which doesn't give notifications on replies or the website, which does give notifications.  So if I have used the mobile app to answer you, I won't be notified of you answering my point.  It can make keeping up with threads troublesome.  ### There's no page break function either.  Hence the hashes.  #####  I don't frequent too often because I am using the program, rather than needing to be in the forum, or doing something towards needing to use the program.  E.g. rehearsing.  ###  Still, what's the actual problem?  With Studio One that is.  Perhaps you could elaborate and I will try to look in later to see if I can help.  Please include you platform (mac or Pc).

Hi aka_busker,

thanks for the comment, missing the point a bit though. No problem to address at this time or I would've put it in the post. Just the observation from previous postings that this is a very inactive forum! Scroll down through the questions and see how many posts have zero replies.

I rarely need help with Studio One, having been a user since version 2. But whenever I do post, generally there's very little response. My latest post was about the fact that Capture files have their time-stamp overwritten when imported into Studio One using their proprietary "send to Studio One" function, which I consider to be annoying and counter-productive, as time stamped audio files are necessary when lining up with live video for example. But there have been no comments, thoughts, suggestions, and absolutely no input from Studio One tech folks. Whereas if I were to post a similar question on Mixbus or Pro Tools forum, there'd be several users who'd weigh in on both sides of the argument, and probably one of the dev staff would tell me why it was implemented that way, or that perhaps they'd look into it. In all my years on the S1 forum I have never seen this kind of interaction.

No, I got the point.  It's a rant thread meant to illicit a response.  I remember seeing that thread about Capture.  I use Notion AND Studio One.  More Studio One because reasons.  I would have tried to recreate the situation but I haven't been at my studio machines for a while.  It's normally best to not answer with nonsense that I made up without looking at the situation.   Let me look at the other thread.

Having looked at the thread in question, I don't use Apple products, so I have no iPad to try and recreate the issue.  As I am sure you appreciate, I would be adding nothing by telling you that.  Same as other users, its pointless my giving you an answer of "doesn't sound good".   Not short of using a clapper board for sync.  (I use one on my Android tablet which uses sync tones and lights).   My set up relies on Studio One being the hub of everything, running Notion via rewire.  My camera always syncs to Studio One.  Presonus hasn't added an Android version of Notion for me to try.

There is a Facebook Presonus Studio One group which seems pretty active.  You could try there as well.  It has 39K members.

Judging by the number of unanswered questions here, that is patently not the case.
