Hello,
I would like to ask if you plan to record a new orchestral library for Notion Mobile (or implement an already existing). The current library is really good and includes many articulations as well, but having a newer library bring even more realistic sounding samples and especially add more emotions to them. Of course, you can't compare it with computer libraries like Kontakt, where there are features like round robin samples, dynamic layer for staccato or sustains which you can changing in realtime while playing a note, and of course (real) legato samples and performance legato patches. On Android for instance, there is no plugin format what would it be possible to implement most features of modern libraries, but maybe, there is a way to add some of that functions specially when they are optimized for Notion Mobile? More real recorded dynamic (velocity) layers would be very nice!
However, if it's not planned and won't be in the future, it would be nice to have some more fine tuning on the instruments. Giving samples a higher release time (especially for longer notes) would make them sound more fluent and more emotional. In my opinion, the legato bow could be more present so that you hear better a smooth transition.
Adjusting the portamento like reducing the amount of it combined with a longer trigger time creates an elegant transition. Currently, it sounds more artificial since the emphasis is to high (I don't mean portamento on guitars, there it sounds really nice). In general, giving all samples a bit higher release time (long articulations) would make the instruments sound more realistic as the gap between notes are more stitched together.
Many thanks in advance!
