No firewire connection between my Macbook Pro and Studiolive RM 16

I plug in the firewire cable with a tunderbold adaptor.

No connection possible. Mac does not find the RM 16.

What to do? Is there a DCHP needed?

Did you install UC Surface? What type of connection are you trying to make? More details would be helpful.
