Capture 2 problem - "No audio device" without StudioLive attached - High Sierra

After updating to High Sierra, the MacBook Pro stopped seeing the on board audio device.  Studio 1 sees it, but Capture 2 does not.  I'm trying to rough listen to sessions on the go, but the dang thing won't see the on board audio!
