Yes, you can consolidate project files afterwards which works great for engineers who never want anything deleted until completion.
But as an artist, I know that 99% of what I record will never be used so always delete as I go - and know other experienced artists who prefer this way of working.
Please, give experienced artists a destructive workflow option or at least make it so that you can assign a shortcut to delete a file from the timeline + audio pool + disk in one go.
If you’re reading this and wondering why anyone would want this, then this request isn’t for you so please don’t reply with “why?” or “don’t work that way” or “my way is better” etc.
But if you know of way of doing this, I’m all ears!
