Question

I just got the PreSonus AudioBox iTwo because I had issues with the iConnectAUDIO 2+ and was told that this device could do a similar thing.  I saw that it does have a USB hookup for an iPad.

Is it only intended for recording audio into an iPad?  Is it just a destination?   

Or can the audio from my iPad be channeled through the device into my computer?

This is easy to do through StudioMux.  What I want to do is to be able to play my controller (a Komplete Kontrol S49) and record my iPad synths in my DAW.

The iTwo can be connected to an iPad or to a computer.

You do not need to route your iPad's audio in to your computer to get recordings from the iTwo to your computer.

There is a connection diagram in your iTwo's manual that shows how to connect the AudioBox iTwo to the computer:
